Trend Alert: The High - Low Effect...
Yes I have yet another trend that I love and want to share with you all and that's the high-low look. Whether your wearing this trend in a shirt, dress mini, midi, or full length skirt you will be sure to make a statement.
How to wear it:
Mini Skirt - In mu opinion a high low mini skirt is best paired with a form fitting tank styled top. I personally think this brings more attention the skirt you are wearing.
Midi/Full Length Skirt - I think this length of skirt is best paired with some sort of cap sleeve crop top it can give a really romantic looking skirt a "not afraid to play" feel.
High-Low Shirt - I think this look is best pair with a mini skirt or your favorite pair of stretch skinny pants.
*Hint for those of us who are bottom heavy (like me) look for a high low top where the back of the shirt comes below your bottom.
Shoes:
I am not sure if this is just one of those things we all know but definitely pair a high-low skirt or dress with a pair of fun and flirty open toe shoe (whether it's a wedge or chunky heel with a strap).
That pretty much sums it up...snatch a few high-low pieces and you will be ready for some summer fun!

Splash into Spring with Seafoam!!!
In planning for my Spring wardrobe (yes planning) I have fallen in love with a color that I am sure will be seen all over the runways...Seafoam. This color is soft yet makes a bold enough impression that you will leave a lasting impression....see pictures below of some hott items in Seafoam!
In my opinion this color would look great paired with Sand, Coral, Black, Ocean Blue, or Nude..
Tip: If your choosing a seafoam colored top or dress be sure to pair it with some soft colored makeup....

In Other Randomness: Chris Brown Named Worst Dressed Man
I would normally not post anything of this nature but it's sorta fashion related. Honestly, I actually never paid attention to it before but when I looked through the photos it would appear if Chris is lacking in well the ability to put together an ensemble that is decent looking. I am sure the men's magazine selected the worst of the wort but they pretty much have darn near 30 photos of Chris over the years....enough of my rambling...I will let you all see for yourself some of the pictures below.....

Tuesday Chic: Heather J
Hello again!!! It's Tuesday which means its time for the Tuesday Chic series. The Chic for this week is Heather J she is fashionable and also natural chica so without any more rambling I present Ms. Heather J!
Hmmm, I'd say all three of these are a part of my style. One day I may be rocking a boho look, the next time I could be very chic. So I can't really narrow it down to one.
On Being Natural....
6) What is one product you would be useless without?
I don't have a lot of products because I typically go to the salon - Serenity MYO in St Louis, MO. I have never had much patience with hair. However, recently I purchase Virgin Coconut oil for my scalp. I really like the product, it's not heavy or wet, yet it still leaves my hair feeling hydrated and it doesn't mess up the style (ie: flat twists).

Heather J
1) What would you say your fashion style was? (Bohemian, chic, glam)
2) What is your favorite fashion trend of 2011?
Platform pumps! I have 3 pairs - Leopard, Nude patent, and Blush pink suede.
3) What are the top three pieces in your wardrobe?
I would have to say any of my scarves, my gold Michael Kors watch, and my Pink Ruffle Steve Madden coat.
4) When did you decide to go natural and what made you decide to go?
I decided to go natural last year...no real rhyme or reason. I got a sew-in that summer, and after taking it down I decided to not put a relaxer on my hair. I figured I had went that long (3-4 months) let' see how long I can keep this up. In the interim, I got braids and rod sets. Finally I could no longer that the 2 different textures, and decided to do the big chop in November 2010.5) What is your favorite style to rock?
A twist out! It's fun and big :)| Right after BC in Nov 2010 |

7) What advice would you give to someone that is newly natural?
I would tell them to embrace your natural hair! It's growing put of your scalp...and it's a beautiful thing - no matter the texture or curl pattern. Want to be featured in the Tuesday Chic spotlight series? Simply send an e-mail to allthingsrelevant@yahoo.com

Second Time Around: Consignment Store
Well after doing a quick Google search on consignment stores near Philadelphia I found a store called Second Time Around. Now many of you may or may not have heard that name somewhere....I know I had. Second Time Around has a TV show on UPN (CW) network back in the 2004-2005 season. The store uses the slogan "Resale goes upscale" and upscale it is...during my trip to the store I saw Tory Burch shoes, Coach as well as Michael Kors bags. However I only ended up leaving with a dress (pics below). If you are interested in visiting a Second Time Around store please visit their website http://secondtimearound.net/locations.aspx for more information. See a couple of pictures below of the dress I picked up.

5 Black Items Every Chic should have!!!!
Okay so I was just thinking I should share 5 black items that should be essential to every woman's wardrobe! Now these items are in no particular order...I am just putting them out there in the order in which they have come to mind.
***** 1) A"little" black dress - This is something I would say can be worn to a dinner for an after five event and something that you can wear to work (with a blazer if needed)
*****2) A pair of classic black pumps, whatever brand your budget can handle
*****3) A black blazer, this can help you dress up any casual look
*****4) A pair of black boots, again whatever brand fits your budget
*****5) Finally, every chic should have a black clutch (to go with all of the above of course).
Did I leave any off? What black items would you say are essential to every chic's wardrobe?
